New Year/Simpson Christmas

We spent the New Year in Kansas with the Simpson side of the family. We had a great time, we were able to spend about 5 days with everyone. Owen (and us) got way more for Christmas than was needed, but Owen loved it. We also celebrated Dacey's 13th birthday with a suprise slumber party. Matt cannot wait until we have a little girl and slumber parties like that one :) He was a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing I think; but Matt, Owen, and the girls lived through the night to see another year!

The stocking is bigger than he is!

Again, quite a loot. He was in gift heaven! This was just the start to gift opening. Great Grandma and Grandpa Simpson came over later and he opened more gifts from them.

Dacey's 13th birthday. We had a suprise party for her at Pizza Hut and then 6 of the girls came to spend the night New Year's Eve night. They ate food, terrorized Dacey's room, jumped on bubble wrap and threw paper shreds at midnight (we made them go out into the garage to make noise and a mess, so they did not wake up Owen), watched a couple movies, decorated shoe shaped sugar cookies at 3 in the morning, and most of them stayed up until 7:00 the next morning. Needless to say they were not too excited to get up for breakfast at 8:00 so they could head home. I cannot wait till Owen is old enough to have parties and fun activities like Mom did for Dacey and the girls. I'm already starting to think what we can do for his first birthday party which isn't really that far off. Owen is going to be one year old in 4 months! It has went so fast.
